Hi there. A search for “Jim Collier” (which also happens to be my name) came up with this URL. Is there a Jim Collier that works at Simian Design?
If so, and since your name shows up on the first page or two of search engines, you might want to check out http://otherjimcolliers.com. It’s a site I just took live, because there are so many Jim Colliers on the web (many with domain names very similar to mine).
There’s no charge or hassle to submit your profile–you just email me whatever identifying information you’re comfortable with sharing on the ‘net (take a look at my bio–anyone who knew me would easily be able to ID me–but there’s no personally revealing data or anything at all for real or virtual thieves to use). I get no ad revenue (Geocities does though–I use their free hosting service), click revenue, or anything at all from it–in fact it costs me a small bit of money to maintain the domain name, and a decent chunk of time in maintenance.
I decided to do it after emailing with several Jim Colliers and feeling a connection, and a mutual (if mild) frustration that none of our friends seem to know which Jim Collier is which. So take a look, and if you want to exchange links, let me know (the link reciprocity is necessary–to insure that the site is relevant to search engines and thus relevant to us Jim Colliers).
Thanks,
Jim Collier
